Wix is making changes...
Apparently there are no longer to be Forums on Wix but Groups. Well that's my understanding. I'm going to try and limit them to one or two so we can replace what we've lost on youtube which was the community comments. I'll try and sort it as soon as I can it's just more bloody software to learn! I'll keep the home page as the latest news and add an About Me page for those that are new. Hopefully this website will grow to a few thousand strong as I do not believe I'll be allowed any google accounts following the update I recently shared. But, who needs them my only hope is Dreamworks ai does not come down on Wix in the same way as Im sure that will mean an end to this website too. I am over on TikTok with 40 plus thousand followers but never really bother with it. However that might be all we're left with as I can't see the Chinese owners caring what red, white and blue Google thinks about its content! Anyway I'm ignorant to the fact and accepting of my fate. We may not like it but sadly rules are there for a reason and it will be ai in the first instance enforcing those rules. My original Youtube account is not deleted just removed or suspended I guess is a better way of saying it. My appeals haven't been answered yet but might. Thank you for your ideas on where to go next. I was already on Rumble but with no followers, the same with Vimeo, and one or two others. I have a very small following on Facebook and instagram but like you I tend to use Youtube for my viewing and learning and it will gradually grow to replace a lot of the streaming services so to not be on it is a shame. The good news is finally, after a year, we may be moving. Downscaling the house before we loose everything and that will give me a new address, new IP, phone number etc so who knows Mrs Rude Guy may have to take on for the team and create me a google account in her name! I know it's cost, but you need to have complete ownership of your domain name. Find an independent Web developer to build your own website, wholly owned by you apart from the hosting fees. You can set up your own payment method to receive subscription fees, donations or payment for that kinky stuff you do. You keep all of it apart from processing fees. You would be in total control, and not at the hands of corporations, or companies like wix changing stuff or moving goalposts. And if the big boys come round threatening stuff you can tell them to fuck off! Politely of course.
